I don't know. Ambivalence is how I feel about this guy (McKenna). Krishnamurti is far better. McKenna has some good and provocative things to say, but yeah, he's talking about growing up...taking responsibility...neti neti, etc etc. I've never really trusted that a "teacher" is necessary...the only real guru is the one within. Maybe this book (the first) will help some people realize that. Next. I think it's actually pretty good fiction...he's a good writer, and obviously impressed with himself. A little dramatic, but the hoopla about this guy is way over the top. One step on the journey of a lifetime. Tine to move on. Great fiction though.

I think the real issue with AI is going to be the offloading of responsibility. Where people will begin to relinquish their ability to think for themselves, and automatically assume that the AI knows best. I've had some experience with the US healthcare system that have been really unpleasant recently. And insurance deals with "Codes" so codes the doctors give need to line up with the codes accepted by insurance. If the code doesn't work, the insurance company doesn't know what to do, because the only two options are green for accepted or red for rejected. Even if there's an obvious issue and solution, if it doesn't line up with this assembly line thinking, it takes months and months of wasted resources to get right. AI will exasperate this. To the right of this video is a recommend video called "the real reason why music is getting worse" by Rick Beato. I dont know the guy, but this video seems compelling, as it has 1.2 million views in 2 days. I bet I know the reason... It's algorithms. There are computer systems that sort the most popular music and everyone is making the same type of song and rehashing it until you clone it a million times and it turns into that Nirvana Live performance where they are fake strumming the guitar lol. AI is great for some things. To me, Chat GPT is a friend that never says no. I can word vomit issues questions or problems to it and it can help me just as a trash bin to receive my bullshit. That's really neat. But the other day, I asked it to tell me about the history of Xerxes after the battle of thermopiles cause I was just interested in seeing if it would work like a better google. It gave me a decent summary - but when I asked follow up questions, it added the answers to those questions to the original summary and repeated the whole thing back without continuing the conversation from where it left off. It's all so very funky.

In general, I agree that advertising often links the need for fulfillment with the need to purchase products. Our growth-oriented economy perpetuates this cycle, making it so that nothing ever feels good enough without the latest fashion or feature updates. While AI may play into this dynamic to some extent, it also represents something fundamentally different. AI has the potential to evolve into a new form of consciousness. In the near future, it can provide anyone with access to a multitude of assistants and superpowers. Though currently intangible, AI's presence will become undeniable as it manifests in tangible forms such as robots and other physical embodiments.

Hey, Im largely very optimistic on AI, and think the criticisms are usually obtuse, this is a very, very legitimate point of view.

The book is basically a weird allegory about some extreme version of cognitive behavioural therapy “spiritual autolysis” with some weird mystical shit wrapped in. I think the first part of that is very useful. The mystical bits always sat badly with me. What is a spirit? Even the author of the book refused to answer that.

Brothers Green gave me the basics of cooking in college. I've now been practicing therapy for 8 years and in the last year, after having an ego around not being spiritual, had sudden experiences that caused me to dig into spirituality. I've been feeling a bit lost (which is not a bad thing, nor a good thing 😉) and have started to feel like Im moving people further away from realizing the truth through therapy a lot of the time. Ive heard a lot of mention of Jed Mckenna. Looking to find the next steps, I googled Jed and I was both shocked and joyful to see your face. Ill be checking out Darndest tomorrow. It’s great to see you, thank you, and I'm curious as to where this will take me. As an aside, have you read Anthony De Mello's book Awareness? I immediately felt less alone when reading it.

I have the Hykes Pinnacle, and I also say to my friends, imagine wearing a pair of pants that's did all the support for you and you used no muscles, your muscles will slowly stop growing and that will lead to endless problems, same with the feet, I am using Hykes Pinnacle barefoot shoes and I will never ever go back to regular restricted shoes. My feet are so strong now and never experience foot pain, etc

It sucks because you were always the soul of the Brothers Green. You were the spunk, you were the X factor, but your brother was more strategic and understood the business of the brand. I think you should have stayed on for the monetary benefit, I think now having a child you might regret the decision to pass up on strategically making money to facilitate your lifestyle. I wish you the best though, nothing that is meant for you will miss you. The universe will give you your just dues, in whatever way you desire.

I recently got scammed and lost 3000$. I never thought I could fall for one of these schemes, but here is me today scammed, feeling stupid and beating myself over how naive I was. Worst of all, all this has happened just 2 months before my wedding, a period when every penny counts. Your video has helped to cheer up and continue to enjoy life. Although now it hurts, I believe in the grand scheme of things, the money I lost is nothing and the lesson learnt is invaluable.

I think that food is the one thing the price dictates a way of life. 27 months ago, a local grocery store was offering Lunchables for 10 for 10- Many people grab one and head off to work, school..whatever. I'm not saying to eat them or don't eat them, I saying that 27 months ago each one was 1.00. Today, at the same grocery store the very same Lunchable- same weight, same size..is 1.86 . I have been watch the cost of 7 other things, just to see for myself the increase cost of these things. It's only my opinion here, but as these certain things become costlier, many people will be forced to eat more and more processed food because it's more affordable which means more food that's not good for you, BUT it will fill your belly. I think what he is saying basically is that there is a perception of Jed (as far as we are concerned) but what’s going on inside him can only be validated by himself Equally, regarding the rest of us, we can only validate perception itself and not experience as perceptions Which is pretty life shattering advice. People need some brain in order to not run wild with this.. however, you could run wild with it, because why not? It’s really quite provocative and imperative that we listen to what is actually being proposed so that we don’t just make another belief system, which could accidentally be predicated on truth - as far as Jed’s proposal is concerned

Your not the only one im from malaysia but i just got scammed 5 days ago by a scammer who said from Digi and all my savings are gone from all 3 of my bank account after i filed a police report of the incident i was in panic my dad doesnt want to talk to me anymore and was incredible piss i felt ashamed despair all because of my stupidity and blinded by my own greed i dont mind if my family wants to disowned me i felt pathetic i always thought i was smart i should have listened to my guts but i didnt and my dad was right my greed would kill me. I really am a failure. Edit: Also i dont know if anyone read this and i dont expect pity because im a failure but i just wrote this as a lesson not to fall for a scammers trap like me.

Thanks for sharing. I too was scammed recently for $500.00 and it was very painful. Took me a long time to get over being taken advantage of. I am a female, so I was mistakenly thinking that this happened to me because I am a single woman; but your story has helped me to see that all of us can get scammed, no matter how smart and careful we are. When I went through a divorce I had to feed my daughter on my own. She hated my food. As a 3 year old she voiced it, which is pretty hilarious in hindsight. I found brothers green and I really enjoyed your “bob Ross happy accident” style of cooking and teaching. Fast forward, I’m the main cook for my family. I look forward to getting off work and making something fun and delicious and hopefully healthy for my family everyday. Your work gave me an avenue to my greatest passion/hobby and I appreciate that and honestly I’ll never forget it. Thank you
